A 2016 literary calender

The Guardian has posted a good run-down on the biggest books scheduled for a 2016 release.

It’s also done a separate piece on the fiction highlights of the year.

Personally, I’m looking forward to Julian Barnes’ latest, The Noise of Time. His last effort, The Sense of an Ending, was excellent and a deserving winner of the Man Booker.

I’d like to get excited by Life of Pi author Yann Martel’s latest but after the dismal Beatrice and Virgil it’s hard to muster any enthusiasm whatsoever.

Julian Gough’s sci-fi thriller Connect sounds promising and a China Mieville novella sounds like just what the doctor ordered.
