Book 13: Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari

If you like Ansari’s standup or his Netflix show Master of None there’s a good chance you’ll like this – it’s got the same charm and goofy wit.

A deconstruction of relationships in the digital age, Modern Romance is more than just a celebrity vanity project: Ansari has actually paired up with sociologist Eric Klinenberg to conduct¬†qualitative research across five countries, meaning it’s got some real chops.

Ansari works in plenty of personal anecdotes to support his hypotheses and add humour to what’s a light and easy but enlightening read.
